Seniors:
Ziad Alexander
- Cooling Lead

Ziad is currently enrolled in the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree. Through research positions, employment with Booz Allen Hamilton, and maintaining motorcycles, his skillset has been developed and continues to be improved. He maintains an avid interest in engineering theory related to the fields of CFD, Thermodynamics, and Aeronautics/Aerospace. Through this project, he hopes to further his skills regarding engineering practices and theories.

Nikolai Herrera
- Systems Integrator

Nick is currently employed with Pacific Shipyards International and a student of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He has over 5 years of experience with composite manufacturing with Kamanu Composites and seeks to continue his passion of working with his hands and the ocean. Eventually he would like to return to school in pursuit of a master's degree.

Michael Howard
- Budget Lead

He is a current senior mechanical engineer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Growing up was surrounded by role models that would rather fix something himself then pay someone there hard earn cash to do. Picking up various skills from said role models including car maintenance/repair, woodworking, electronic repair/fabrication and lastly a great mechanical insight. Michael has also completed the summer bridge program at Honolulu Community College where he learned various trades such as welding, AutoCAD, and carpentry which he make him a very useful during the fabrication part of the project.

Gavin Nall
- Frame Lead

This young man is an outstanding Mechanical Engineering students at University of Hawaii. He is well rounded and has experience working with engines and participating in research. Gavin was involved with NASA’s SLP research opportunities and the ARLISS design competition. He is currently employed by Kamanu Composites and has gained experience in composite fabrication. In his spare time he likes to slackline, and play pool.

Daryl Patlingrao
- Time Management

Ever-curious, Daryl grew up often breaking things open to discover their inner workings. In particular, he enjoyed reverse engineering simple mechanisms in toys and other household effects, much to his mother’s displeasure. It is due to this and his natural talent for math that he became quite adept at modeling and analysis. He is employed by a local tutoring organization and specializes in mathematics and physics at the collegiate level. Currently he is a senior in mechanical engineering at UH Manoa looking to further his education through to the graduate level. He intends to use this knowledge to educate and encourage others to pursue careers in technical fields.

Jackson Poscablo
- Project Manager

Jackson is an undergraduate student at the College of Engineering at the University of Manoa. He has participated in multiple research opportunities including the implementation of Carbon Nanotubes into Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers, the Launch of a Mini Satellite into the Stratosphere, and the Design and Fabrication of an Electric Baja. After receiving his Bachelor's, Jackson plans to pursue his Masters with an Interest in Aeronautics or Renewable Energy. He hopes to improve his leadership skills and communication skills through this project.

Travis Scott
- Power-train Lead

Like the rest of the group, Travis is working on his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Hawaii. He has experience fixing and maintaining motorcycles, automobiles and sailboats. He also has built, trained and manages a sailing team of 12 that competes in regattas throughout the state of Hawaii.

Naftali Tolibas
- Fundraising Lead

Naftali is currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is an avid do-it-yourselfer, performs his own vehicle maintenance, and works on weekend projects with his father. His interest include renewable energy, the automotive industry, and thermodynamics. He hopes that through this project, he may have a better understanding of the engineering design process, welding, and manufacturing.

Underclassmen:
Bonnie Louis Ben
-Team Member

Louie, like many others, developed an interest for engineering through learning car repair, maintenance, and modification from his father. He aims to support and contribute to the project to the best of his abilities while learning more about the design process and other skillsets. He is currently pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and plays music in his spare time.

Brandon Sakamoto
-Team Member

Brandon chose engineering because he enjoys challenging himself & meeting new people with the same goals. When he’s not in school he enjoys anything outdoors & spending time with family. After graduation he wants to try applying his mechanical engineering knowledge to renewable energy. Through this project he expects to gain more knowledge on the process of designing & fabricating an electric vehicle. He hopes to help the group by working hard to meet the deadlines & create a working final product.

Jason Salseg
-Team Member

Jason grew up and found his passion for Engineering in Minnesota with his grandfather, a retired Engineer for Lockheed Martin. His interest revolve around sharing his knowledge and exploring new exciting areas and opportunities. He is certified dive instructor, snowboarder, and self proclaimed coffee connoisseur. Jason knows what you get out is a function of what you put in, that's why a big component of his mission at the College of Engineering is outside of the classroom. Founder and former President of Engineers for a Sustainable World Hawaii Chapter, Council member for the Engineers Council at the University of Hawaii, Team Lead on the NASA RMC Project and commitment to projects such as the NASA Small Satellite and Green EV is what makes Jason a well rounded Engineer.
