Through research, deliberation and development, an electric ATV is to be designed and fabricated to contribute to Hawaii's Clean Energy Initiative (HCEI). Our contribution to HCEI will passively protect Hawaii’s beaches for future generations. This ATV will be used by the lifeguards and it will meet the following objectives by being electirc, have a longer service life, require less maintenance, and by charging through means of renewable energy. It will be able to run at a speed of 15 MPH, carry 200 lbs of load, and have a 16 mile range per charge. eATV is a green contribution that responds to HCEI and will influence a change in Hawaii by replacing one ATV at a time.
